Collection Notice

What we collect when you create an account.

A concise explanation of the registration information SMSF Home needs, why it is collected and the choices available to trustees and professionals.

Current version: 25 August 2026

1. Who collects your information

SMSF HOME AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (ACN 701 721 977, ABN 31 701 721 977) operates SMSF Home and collects the registration information described in this notice. Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints can be sent to privacy@smsfhome.com.au.

2. Why you are seeing this notice

SMSF Home collects information when you register and as you choose to build a trustee or professional workspace. This notice gives the essential collection information at the point you create an account. The full Privacy Policy provides more detail.

3. What we collect at registration

  • Your name, email, password-protected account and Australian state or territory.
  • For professionals: business, professional type, location and any optional directory settings and service information.
  • Your acceptance or acknowledgement of the current legal and privacy versions.
  • Limited session, security and device information needed to create and protect the account.

4. Why we need it

We use registration information to create and secure your account, apply state and territory context, establish the correct trustee or professional experience, record legal acceptance, prevent misuse and communicate about account operation.

If required registration information is not provided, SMSF Home cannot create the account. Directory participation is optional and does not affect a professional's private account.

5. Who may receive it

Registration information may be handled by limited service providers needed to operate, secure, communicate and support SMSF Home, and by recipients authorised or required by law. It is not sold to advertisers or data brokers.

A professional directory profile is public only when that professional chooses to be featured. A trustee account, fund identity and professional-client relationship are not published through the directory.

6. Australia and overseas processing

The core fund-data environment is configured in Australia. Limited supporting processing for application delivery, communications, security, support, backup or operations may involve overseas recipients presently likely to include recipients located in the United States.

7. Your choices and rights

You can correct many details in SMSF Home and may request access or correction through the privacy contact. You may raise a privacy complaint and can choose whether a professional profile appears in the directory.

If you use the public contact form, permission to respond to your enquiry is separate from the optional choice to receive SMSF Home product, launch or service updates by email. Leaving the optional choice unchecked does not affect the enquiry. If selected, the choice is recorded and can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe method in a marketing message or by contacting SMSF Home.

Privacy questions, access and correction requests can be sent to privacy@smsfhome.com.au.
